To categorize the patients, three groups were formed based on the various RNU and BCE surgical procedures: open RNU with open BCE (group 1, n=104), minimally invasive RNU with open BCE (group 2, n=196), and minimally invasive RNU with intracorporeal BCE (group 3, n=152). Data collection included patient demographics, body mass index, past medical history, pre-operative renal function, the surgical process, tumor attributes, tissue pathology, and recurrence indicators. To examine the relationship between surgical procedures and IVR, a multivariate Cox regression analysis was undertaken. At one, three, and six months post-operatively, urinary incontinence (UI) showed improvement in the PFME group. A comparison of the perioperative PFME group against the control group (no PFME) revealed comparable results, with odds ratios of 0.35 (95% CI 0.12–0.98) one month and 0.40 (95% CI 0.21-0.75) three months after surgery. Our study found no meaningful distinction between the perioperative PFME and postoperative PFME groups. Within one month, three months, and six months after the operation, the odds ratio was 0.58 (95% CI 0.20-0.71), 0.58 (95% CI 0.20-1.71), and 0.66 (95% CI 0.32-1.38), respectively.Early postoperative urinary incontinence rates were considerably diminished after RP and subsequent PFME application; however, additional preoperative PFME did not meaningfully improve urinary incontinence recovery.RP, coupled with PFME application, substantially decreased the incidence of early postoperative urinary incontinence.
