Phoenix SC posted a video about the whole thing, and even created an illustration to show the cape in action. The short version of this whole story is that Mojang published a blog that we've just linked to but returns an error 404 "not found" error, and then took it down. It stated that players who purchased the Java and Bedrock versions of Minecraft before June 6, 2022 would receive a fancy Vanilla ***.

The page was removed just a few hours later and can now only be seen on the Wayback Machine and the Wayback Machine, which is very strange. There's nothing particularly shocking in the article or even to be something that was made public in the early hours of. Although we don't know why it was removed, it's obvious that it was. According to the wiki the cape was advertised on the Minecraft Discord server So why was the post taken down?
